Gather your favourite people and indulge in Beforenoon Tea with a festive twist, glide into fondue menus with Après-Ski flair, or enjoy the enchantment of The Nutcracker with our new for 2024 afternoon tea.
Our Christmas igloos are open untilJanuary 2 and are only available for private hire (ALL igloo bookings must be made by telephone).
Deposits will be taken at the time of booking and your package and the price you pay includes the private use of an Assembly House igloo, located on our front lawn amid Christmas trees and dedicated igloo staff. The deposit is taken off your final bill, which is paid two weeks before your booking.
With their wooden frame and secure, sturdy clear panes, our igloos are snug and cosy and return to our lawn every year. Igloos have seating and table space for up to 10 people (maximum), are heated, have speakers for your own music, fairy lights and your own personal service staff.
Please note: igloos close at 10pm.
There are four chances to book throughout the day from breakfast to nighttime. Choose from our festive version of Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edit of our award-winning afternoon tea - two sittings for The Nutcracker Afternoon Tea (including the popular twilight slot) or our Après-Ski night-time igloos which serve ski lodge-style fondue menus and sharing boards.
Minimum numbers are as follows:
Festive Beforenoon Tea: Four paid-for diners from Monday to Friday and at least six paid-for diners on Saturdays and Sundays
The Nutcracker Afternoon Tea: A minimum of six paid-for diners and a maximum of eight.
Après-Ski After Dark Dining: A minimum of eight paid-for diners for each booking and a maximum of 10.
Bookings need to be made directly by calling 01603 626402 between 9am and 5pm: igloos cannot be booked online. All online bookings are for the indoor dining areas only.
Please note that igloos are snapped up incredibly quickly, particularly weekend dates, and for the past three years, most have been booked by the end of June. Please act quickly to secure the date you’d like and please check minimum numbers for your chosen service before calling to book.
For Beforenoon and Afternoon Tea bookings, a £100 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, for Après-Ski bookings, a £150 deposit is required. Full payment - which is non-refundable - will be required two weeks prior to your booking.
Please note
There is no availability for the igloos for the Après-Ski session on Christmas Eve and the igloos will be closed on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day.
We are unable to accommodate pushchairs or prams in the igloos.
If you cancel your igloo at any point and we are able to resell your slot, we will reserve a £25 administration fee from your deposit to cover our costs. If we are unable to resell, we will retain your full deposit. Please see Ts and Cs below.
Afternoon Tea can be swapped for Afternoon Cheese for the same price (£45pp). We cannot swap for Afternoon Sea.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Restaurant A maximum of 10 people for festive afternoon tea in the restaurant. Private rooms available or larger groups. Bookings can be made for this and our other restaurant menu at www.assemblyhousenorwich.co.uk or by calling 01603 626402.
Private Dining Minimum numbers for individual rooms apply. A provisional booking for a private room can be held for a maximum of 14 days, after which time we require a £250 deposit and a signed event contract to secure the booking. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. The estimated final invoice will be issued one month prior to the event and is payable in full two weeks prior to the event date. The balance of any other charges will be invoiced after the event and must be paid within seven days of the invoice date. Igloo require a deposit at the time of booking.
Christmas Day A £40 per person deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. The full balance is due by no later than Friday 24th November. Should you need to cancel your booking after this time, we will make every effort to re sell your table. If we are unable to do this, all monies will be retained.
Christmas events Full payment is to be made at the time of booking. Visit our website to book all these events or call us on 01603 626402. Bookings for these events are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Bedrooms Bookings for bedrooms or our shop and stay breaks require a £100 deposit to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due on check out.
Christmas Day Stay, 2 nights A £250 per room deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable The full balance is due by no later than Friday 24th November. Should you need to cancel your booking after this time, we will make every effort to re-sell your table. If we are unable to do this, all monies will be retained.
The Assembly House reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather conditions, power outages, health and safety concerns, equipment failures, Government regulations, natural disasters and technical errors. The Assembly House management also reserves the right to relocate, refuse, cancel or close a booking as they deem appropriate. In the rare event this occurs, we will inform you as soon as possible and work with you to find an alternative solution or offer a full refund. Terms and conditions are non-negotiable.
